Gaza Bombardments Intensify: Lapshin
After 90% of Gaza's 1.5 million residents left the city, bombardments in Gaza have intensified. This was reported by blogger Alexander Lapshin on his Telegram channel.
“Hamas militants have dug hundreds of kilometers of tunnels under Gaza, where 30,000 to 40,000 Islamist fighters are now hiding. To avoid unnecessary and dangerous street battles while assaulting the city, the Israeli Air Force is conducting round-the-clock shelling of the Gaza Strip, district by district.
Hamas refuses to lay down its weapons and release 220 Israeli hostages, which is why I personally see no other option than to take tough action,” wrote the blogger.
Lapshin also mentions that he is frequently asked why Israel is killing so many children in Gaza. In reality, the matter is more complicated. Gaza has an extremely high birth rate, with families having 6 to 8 children not being unusual. Accordingly, more than 52% of Gaza’s population is under the age of 18, according to demographics.
Thus, if a war is ongoing and people are dying, the percentage of children among the deceased corresponds to the demographics. Therefore, no one is deliberately targeting children, and a missile does not know how to read a birth certificate,” wrote Lapshin.
