Israeli Military Confirms Number of Hostages Held by Hamas
The Israel Defense Forces have confirmed the reports of 222 individuals, including foreign nationals, taken hostage by Hamas militants. This was announced by IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari.
He also stated that the military possesses at least 1,000 bodies of Hamas fighters killed in action.
Hagari informed that over the past 24 hours, the IDF has targeted eight units of Hezbollah in Lebanon that attempted to launch attacks on Israeli territory. He noted that, since the beginning of the conflict, the military has struck 20 Hezbollah cells located in southern Lebanon.
Since October 7, Israeli forces have arrested more than 800 wanted Palestinians in the West Bank, with 500 of them identified as supporters of Hamas.
On October 20, Hamas agreed to release two American citizens who were abducted on October 7.
