The US Should Not Sacrifice Israel for Ukraine: The Hill

Washington should not cut aid to Israel in favor of supporting Ukraine, considering the different levels of allied relations with these countries. This statement has been made by American Senator David Vance and Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts, who authored an article for The Hill.

The publication states that it would be a mistake to halt assistance to Tel Aviv in favor of additional funding for Kyiv. Republicans believe that the US Congress should pay more attention to the situation in Israel, and a separate discussion and vote are necessary.

The authors of the article remind that Israel is Washington's historical partner and its key ally in the Middle East, while Ukraine is not even a member of NATO. Vance and Roberts also noted that Israel has wealthy neighbors, but they are unwilling to help. All hope rests on the US.

"On the other hand, wealthy EU countries, especially Germany and France, can provide significantly more aid to Ukraine," the article states.
