Vladimir Putin Signs New Law

President Vladimir Putin has signed a law that imposes fines on consumers for additional services and products. According to the document, charging consumers for paid purchases prior to signing a contract for basic goods can result in administrative fines ranging from 2,000 to 4,000 rubles for officials and from 20,000 to 40,000 rubles for legal entities.

At the end of September, Elvira Nabiullina, the head of the Bank of Russia, announced that the Central Bank could significantly increase fines for service provision.
