New Details on Armenians Held in Baku
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has met and continues to meet with Armenians held in Baku, including Rashid Beglaryan from Artsakh. This was announced to NEWS.am by Zara Amatuni, head of communication programs at the Armenian office of the Red Cross.
She noted that the last visit took place in September.
It is important to remember that 61-year-old Rashid Beglaryan, a resident of the Askeran region of Artsakh, found himself in an area under Azerbaijani control after becoming disoriented. The Prosecutor's Office of Artsakh reported that Rashid Beglaryan was secretly kidnapped by Azerbaijani soldiers using force while on his way to Armenia.
Armenia has applied to the European Court of Human Rights to demand interim measures regarding the protection of Rashid Beglaryan’s rights.
