Armenian and Iranian National Security Council Secretaries Meet

The Secretary of the Armenian National Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, met with Ali-Akbar Ahmadian, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran, during his visit to Tehran on October 1. This was reported by the press service of the Armenian Security Council.

During the meeting, the Secretary provided a detailed account of the recent attacks carried out by Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh over the past week, which have led to the mass forcible displacement of the population in the region.

The parties also discussed regional security and the consequences of the ongoing situation. The importance of Armenia's territorial integrity was emphasized by both sides, and there was a mutual emphasis on the development of bilateral economic relations.
