«There Are Almost No Hotels in the Region. We Have Accommodated People in Available Houses» - Governor of Armavir
As of 15:00, 863 families consisting of 3,549 individuals from Nagorno-Karabakh have been registered and provided with accommodation in the Armavir region. This was announced by the Governor of Armavir, Edward Hovhannisyan, during a press briefing by the government’s Humanitarian Center.
The governor emphasized that a regional commission has been formed to address the needs of the displaced people, which includes employees from various divisions of the governor's office and community administrations.
“There are almost no hotels or guesthouses in our region where a large number of citizens can be accommodated at once. We have mainly settled them in free houses in villages and towns. We are also assisting citizens who wish to find rental apartments. There are also quite a few host families,” the governor detailed.
