Surenavan Administration Head Apologizes for Controversial Statement
The head of the Surenavan Administration, Ani Vardazaryan, who had previously threatened to deprive participants of protests from Artsakh of all types of assistance, has made a new statement. In her recent post, she apologized for her earlier remarks but added that she is opposed to voicing protests in public.
"I apologize for my statement, which created the impression that I am against helping the people of Artsakh. However, my words imply the following: We are all ready to support, but alongside our support, your appearance in public and involvement in internal political affairs is a blow to us from behind and equivalent to an enemy attack. I am against raising a voice of protest in this difficult situation, as that protest does not help any of us," she wrote.
