VIDEO: Record Flooding in New York, State of Emergency Declared
A state of emergency has been declared in New York following severe flooding. This is reported by local media.
It is noteworthy that today, the amount of rainfall in New York has been recognized as the highest in over 140 years of meteorological observations.
The streets and public transportation systems are submerged, and subway operations have been partially suspended. Some roads and the lower floors of buildings, including schools, are filled with water. One of the terminals at LaGuardia Airport is closed.
Forecasts indicate that heavy rain will continue.
