Video: Strong Explosion and Fire in Russia, Over 300 Evacuated from Residential Building
A gas explosion has rocked a residential building in the Tyumen region of Russia, specifically in Tobolsk. Following the explosion, a fire engulfed the five-story building. Russian media outlets have reported on the incident, sharing video footage as well.
According to the Tyumen regional health department, three people have been hospitalized. “The call was received at 21:21, and the emergency response team arrived on the scene at 21:26. After examinations and assistance, three patients were transferred to the emergency department of the Regional Hospital No. 3, where they are currently receiving care from a multidisciplinary team of doctors. Medical personnel are on duty at the scene,” the statement indicated.
From the images sent from the scene, it appears that the fire has spread to the roof of the building. A total of 56 personnel from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, along with 17 units of regular and special equipment, have been deployed to manage the situation. Residents have already been evacuated from their homes. As reported by the Tyumen regional government, the issue of temporary accommodation for those affected by the fire is currently being addressed. Preliminary data indicates that 320 residents from 98 apartments are in need of temporary housing.
