Artsakh Foreign Ministry Issues Statement

In recent days, the Azerbaijani side has carried out military movements and accumulated various types of armaments on a daily basis, accompanied by intensive information and propaganda efforts, preparing the ground for a large-scale aggression against Artsakh. This was reported by the Artsakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"The Artsakh side has continuously warned all parties about the undeniable fact of Azerbaijan's unprecedented military build-up since the 2020 war and potential provocations, including in anticipation of large-scale military operations. As you are aware, in the last 24 hours, the Azerbaijani side has disseminated disinformation claiming that the Artsakh side has carried out diversionary activities, shelling Azerbaijani positions.

Shortly after, they released information stating that they had begun a so-called 'counter-terrorism operation,' which indicates that all these steps have been pre-planned. This completely aligns with the reports of Azerbaijan's genocidal actions against Artsakh and its people over the past months.

We are now witnessing how Azerbaijan is moving toward the physical extermination of the peaceful population and the destruction of civilian infrastructure in the implementation of its genocidal policy. We have repeatedly informed international actors that calls alone are insufficient to restrain Azerbaijan's militaristic and criminal stance. We demand that the international community take concrete steps in a very short time to stop Azerbaijan's aggression," the statement reads.
