Civil Contract Party Issues Statement
The Civil Contract Party has issued a statement regarding the municipal elections held in Yerevan.
"On Sunday, fair, just, and transparent elections took place once again in Yerevan. It has been reaffirmed that the chapter of falsified elections in our country is irreversibly closed, and this is a great pride for us.
We thank the tens of thousands of Yerevan residents who trusted us with their votes, enabling the Civil Contract Party to emerge as the frontrunner in the number of votes received across all administrative districts of the capital, and to have the largest faction in the Yerevan City Council.
We respect the citizens who voted for our competitors. We also hear the voices of those who, for various reasons, did not participate in the elections. A tremendous amount of work still lies ahead for the sake of Yerevan, for the sake of independent Armenia.
The Civil Contract will remain committed to the principles it has proclaimed and will utilize its mandate to implement its electoral program.
In the coming days, we will talk in more detail about our upcoming initiatives, but one thing is clear, indisputable, and unchangeable – as we have said, so we will do. Our goal is to serve you," the statement reads.
