Azerbaijan Issues Statement on Negotiations Held in Ivanyan

The Administration of the President of Azerbaijan has released a statement regarding the results of negotiations held on September 25, 2023, in Ivanyan (Khojalu) between representatives of Artsakh and Azerbaijan.

The statement emphasizes satisfaction with the steps taken towards resolving the issues discussed in the meeting held on September 21 in the city of Yevlakh. It notably mentions humanitarian aid, the prompt provision of fuel, and the resumption of electricity supply.

It is noteworthy that the Artsakh negotiators included David Melkumyan, a member of the Artsakh National Assembly's "Democratic Party of Artsakh" faction, and Sergey Martirosyan, the director of the center for ensuring cooperation with the Russian peacekeeping force.

On the Azerbaijani side, the delegation included MP Ramin Mamedov, who was appointed by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev as the person responsible for communications with the Armenian residents of Artsakh. Mamedov is known to have been born in Artsakh, specifically in the city of Martakert.

Additionally, it should be noted that the first meeting of the delegations of Azerbaijan and Artsakh occurred on September 21 in Yevlakh.
