Negotiations Are Stalled, Says Hajiev

Azerbaijan has announced that it will continue to develop alternative transportation routes with other countries if Armenia refuses to fulfill its obligations. This was revealed by Hikmet Hajiev, the assistant to the Azerbaijani president for international affairs, in an interview with TASS.

“We will not tie our logistics needs to the whims of the Armenian government and will move forward with regional partners,” he stated.

Hajiev pointed out that Azerbaijan aims to open all transportation links in the region, believing that “close trade and economic ties will contribute to peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.”

According to Hajiev, negotiations regarding the unblocking of transport links between Armenia and Azerbaijan have reached a stalemate.

During the interview, Hajiev emphasized that the opening of the Zangezur corridor would primarily benefit Armenia.
