Pashinyan Denies That the CP is Distributing Money for the Campaign and Using Administrative Resources
There are forces that clearly hope for instability or a governance crisis in Armenia in the context of the Yerevan city council elections. This was stated by Nikol Pashinyan.
He noted that this is evident in the emphasis placed by several forces participating in the elections. He also denied claims that the Civil Contract (CP) party is using administrative resources for the campaign and attracting people with money.
According to him, such behavior contradicts the essence and value system of the CP. “That is why there is a criminal code in Armenia, and every case must be subject to investigation. As the president of the party's board, I can say that not only can we not have such practices, but any such behavior will receive a legal assessment and response. Of course, if it turns out that we are talking about legal activities, because if there are cases where the discussion is about receiving certain support regarding advertising videos, that is a completely different situation. But what is meant here in Armenia—handing out money, and so on—cannot be the practice of our party, as it would harm our essence,” Pashinyan declared.
