VIDEO: 150 People Have Died in Libya Due to Cyclone Daniel

At least 150 people have died in the city of Derna, located on the Mediterranean coast, as a result of flooding caused by Cyclone Daniel. This was reported by Al Arabiya television.

It is noted that the Government of National Unity of Libya has declared a state of natural disaster in the city. According to the Al Wasat information portal, the city of Al Bayda has also suffered significant damage due to the cyclone. As part of the evacuation operations for local residents, communication has been lost with five soldiers.

On September 10, Cyclone Daniel penetrated northeastern Libya, bringing strong winds and torrential rains to coastal cities. The commander of the Libyan National Army, Khalifa Haftar, had previously raised the combat readiness level of all military units to maximum.
