Azerbaijan Spreads False News About Alleged Troop Mobilization in Armenia Says Expert
The Azerbaijani information space is intensively spreading a thesis about an alleged troop mobilization in Armenia, including videos claiming people are being recruited to forcibly open the Lachin corridor. This was reported by Azerbaijani expert Tatevik Hrayrapetyan on her Telegram channel.
"Firstly, Azerbaijan is contradicting itself, as it previously told everyone that the corridor is open, and now they are saying it is closed. Moreover, it is evident that for several days they have been conducting active movements and accumulations along the borders of Artsakh and Armenia, which is accompanied by information assaults. They now want to ensure a narrative that cloaks their aggressive actions, which is why they are disseminating false news," she noted.
According to pro-Azerbaijani experts, significant external pressure is being exerted on Aliyev to prevent another act of aggression. However, Aliyev may take risks, especially given his support from Turkey.
"It's a complex battle of nerves, and the main targets of Azerbaijan and Turkey are Syunik. This was the case a century ago when we held Syunik under the leadership of Nzhdeh, and it is the same now," she stated.
Tatevik Hrayrapetyan also added, "Let me say one more thing: the region and the declaration are irrelevant, your enemies' plans have not changed; that is the most important thing to understand."
The Azerbaijani expert urges not to spread unclear, old videos or reports of supposed troop mobilizations during these information assaults, as doing so benefits no one, except Azerbaijan.
