Video: How Three Young People from Artsakh Were Released from Azerbaijan

Footage has emerged on social media showing the return of Armenian football players from Artsakh who were abducted by Azerbaijan. Earlier today, the Human Rights Defender of Artsakh, Gegham Stepanyan, announced that students illegally detained by Azerbaijan had been returned.

“On September 7, around 17:45, the Azerbaijani side returned students Alen Sargsyan, Vahe Hovsepyan, and Levon Grigoryan, who were abducted and illegally detained while being escorted by Russian peacekeepers from Artsakh to Armenia on August 28. The handover of the boys to the Armenian side took place near the Hakari Bridge with the participation of Russian peacekeepers. They have been transferred to the Republic of Armenia,” wrote the Artsakh Human Rights Defender.

This information was also confirmed by the National Security Service of Armenia. It is worth recalling that on August 28, three young people from Artsakh, Alen Sargsyan, Vahe Hovsepyan, and Levon Grigoryan, were abducted from an illegal Azerbaijani checkpoint in the Lachin Corridor. They were returned today.
