‘We Are Seeing Good Progress During the Counteroffensive, This is Very Encouraging’ – Blinken
The U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who is visiting Kyiv, held a meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba. Following the meeting, he stated at a press conference that Washington is seeing good progress in the Ukrainian Armed Forces' counteroffensive.
“I am here primarily to demonstrate our continued and strong support for Ukraine in its fight against this aggression,” said Blinken. “We are seeing good progress during the counteroffensive. This is very encouraging,” added the U.S. Secretary of State.
Discussing the purpose of his visit, the head of U.S. foreign policy stated that the White House “wants to ensure that Ukraine has everything necessary not only for the success of the counteroffensive but also for securing defensive capabilities.”
“We also intend to continue working with our partners as they build and rebuild a strong economy and a strong democracy. All of this is necessary for Ukraine not only to survive but also to thrive in the future, with a strong partner in the form of the U.S.”
