Erdogan: 'There Are No Prospects for Peace on the Horizon'
Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has declared that there are no prospects for achieving peace in Ukraine.
"Turkey's stance on the ongoing war in Ukraine is unequivocal; from the very first day, we have always advocated for peace, dialogue, and diplomacy, making great efforts to prevent further bloodshed. We did not escalate the issue, nor did we pour fuel on the fire, and we tried to bring both sides together. Unfortunately, the war, which has been ongoing for 1.5 years, continues. There are no prospects for peace on the horizon," the Turkish leader stated to reporters on the plane after returning from Sochi, where discussions took place between the presidents of Turkey and Russia on Monday.
According to him, "there are no winners in war, and there are no losers in the world."
