Albanian Prime Minister Tells Joke About Putin and Prigozhin
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama shared a joke that suggested Putin's involvement in the death of Yevgeny Prigozhin, the leader of the Wagner private military company. During the strategic forum in Bled, Slovenia, he asked the participants if they were aware that Russia wanted to unify its time zones due to a significant difference between the two extremes of its territories. This prompted him to tell a joke that drew laughter from the audience.
“The Prime Minister goes to see Putin and says, 'There’s a problem. My family was on vacation, I called to say good night, but it was already morning. I called Olaf Scholz to wish him a happy birthday, but he said it would be the next day. I called Xi Jinping to congratulate him on the New Year, but he told me they are still living in the old year.' Then Putin responds, 'Yes, that has happened to me too. I called Prigozhin’s family to express my condolences, but his plane hadn't taken off yet,'” Rama recounted.
