No documents are expected to be signed following Putin and Erdoğan's meeting, Peskov
The expanded negotiations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Sochi were very constructive. This was reported to journalists on September 4 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
He also added that no document is planned to be signed after the meeting.
The conclusion of the broad format negotiations was previously announced. It was noted that the two leaders spoke for an hour and a half. Following the discussions with their delegations, Putin and Erdoğan continued talks in a narrow format over a working lunch.
Before the start of the negotiations, the leaders outlined their main topics for the press, including the grain agreement, the creation of a gas hub, and economic cooperation between the two countries.
The Russian President expressed hope that the countries would complete the negotiations on the creation of a gas hub in Turkey in the near future, which would stabilize the energy sector situation further.
Additionally, he noted that Russia is open to negotiations regarding the grain agreement.
