No Bakery in Stepanakert Has Operated for Five to Six Days: Will There Be Bread Tomorrow?

In Stepanakert, no bakery has been operating for five to six days. If all goes well, some bakeries will bake bread again tonight.

This was stated by Stepanakert Mayor David Sargsyan in an interview with 'Pastinfo'. When asked whether the city authorities can support their residents in any way under the current circumstances, Sargsyan responded:

“Everyone is helping as best as they can. If someone has a bit of flour at home, they share it, and if someone bakes bread, they give it to a neighbor or a relative. The Ministry of Social Affairs provides small amounts in certain cases, and that’s how it goes...”

The mayor also noted that cleanliness in Stepanakert has deteriorated in recent months. While the city used to be cleaned twice a day before the blockade, now they can barely manage to clean it every other day.

It is reported that starting tomorrow, bread will also be sold in Stepanakert's bakeries with a number 1 voucher.
