High Likelihood of Banning Cheap Purchases from Wildberries in Armenia

Already having obtained a "gaming house status", Wildberries not only supports the diversity of the Armenian market but also harms the economy of Armenia.

When needed, without studying the local market, people immediately look for products in the Wildberries online store, find relatively affordable options, and make purchases. The reason is that users have discovered an easier, smarter, and cheaper way to order products from the Russian market.

For this reason, Wildberries quickly became one of the 1000 largest taxpayers in Armenia, with one user reporting that 3 million purchases have been made in the last 6 months.

Despite the fact that Wildberries is increasing the revenues of the Armenian state budget, it is simultaneously freezing local commerce, negatively impacting local businesses. As a result, entrepreneurs who protested in front of the government yesterday demanded the State Revenue Committee to prohibit the opportunity to order products in the Russian variant.

In response to this protest, the SRC contacted Wildberries to establish control and block the possibility of making "indirect" purchases.

However, Wildberries has not yet responded. This means that the likelihood of banning ordering products in the Russian variant in Armenia is very high. In such a case, it is once again the residents of Armenia who will suffer, deprived of the opportunity to shop at relatively lower market prices.
