Egyptian Billionaire Mohammed Al-Fayed Dies at 94

Mohammed Al-Fayed, the Egyptian billionaire known for his connection to Princess Diana, has passed away at the age of 94. According to Sky News, he died peacefully of old age on September 1. His burial took place at the Central Mosque in London.

Al-Fayed moved to London in the 1960s and was best known as the former owner of the Harrods department store and Fulham Football Club. He sold the store in 2010 and stepped away from the football club in 2013.

Following the tragic accident in a tunnel in Paris in 1997, which claimed the life of his son Dodi and Princess Diana, Al-Fayed spent ten years financing a private investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. He was also active in a public campaign to uncover the role of the royal family and British intelligence services in the crash that caused the deaths of his son and Princess Diana. The businessman believed they were involved in a conspiracy against the star couple.
