Borrell Announces EU Will Train 40,000 Ukrainian Soldiers

The EU countries will train 40,000 Ukrainian soldiers by the end of the year. This was announced by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell after consultations with EU foreign ministers.

"The foreign affairs ministers of the EU countries support the plans to expand the European mission for the training of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The ministers have approved the initiative to retrain another 40,000 Ukrainian soldiers," Borrell stated.
