Armenian Government Sends Rome Statute to Parliament for Ratification
Julya
The government has forwarded the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court to the National Assembly for ratification. This information was reported by the government.
The Constitutional Court recognized the obligations enshrined in the Rome Statute, which was signed on July 17, 1998, as compliant with the constitution. In 2022, the government appealed to the Constitutional Court on this matter.
The government has revisited the issue of recognizing the Rome Statute, as the rationale behind this initiative suggests that there is an opportunity to hold Azerbaijan accountable.
