The Herd Returned, While the Body of the Shepherd Was Discovered by His Nephew

On August 30, a mysterious incident occurred in the Kotayk region. Around 8:00 PM, the Police Department of Armenia's Ministry of Internal Affairs received a call from 65-year-old Hayk P., a resident of the Kotayk region, reporting that they had been unable to contact their shepherd, 57-year-old Meruzhan H., while the herd had returned without him.

According to shamshyan.com, law enforcement officials and investigators who arrived at the scene found that Meruzhan H. had left in the morning to let the livestock graze, but had not returned in the evening when it was time to bring the animals back.

His nephew, noticing that his uncle had not returned home, began searching around 7:30 PM and discovered his body in the "Old Gardens" area of the Koghor neighborhood.

According to the preliminary conclusion of the forensic expert, external examination revealed injuries in the form of wounds on the chest and legs, which, as reported by Vrej Ch., were caused by bull strikes.

A criminal proceeding has been initiated on the grounds of murder by the Kotayk regional investigative department. The investigator has ordered a forensic examination of the body.
