‘This Is Not a Stomach Fight’: Rally Participants Address Artsakh President
Participants gathered at the Renaissance Square in Stepanakert and waited for over five hours for the conclusion of the expanded consultation taking place in the National Assembly. Artsakh journalist Tatevik Aghajanyan shared details about the situation on her Facebook page.
Aghajanyan reported that after prolonged delays and a scuffle with police guarding the entrance to Parliament, Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan finally appeared before the attendees. “He first mentioned that he has good news regarding the question of the minors taken from the illegal checkpoint, which he would share with their parents tomorrow morning. Then he attempted to discuss the issue of bread, but the attendees responded that this is not a stomach fight. He said that they are only considering one route: the Lachin corridor. At one point, Tigran Petrosyan approached the microphone, but after being met with boos from the crowd, he left,” Aghajanyan wrote.
“Later, Harutyunyan stated that he wanted to resign a few days ago and is now ready to do so again and could become an ordinary soldier. However, I did not hear any specific answers regarding the timeline for the opening of the road and other issues,” she added.
It is worth noting that yesterday evening, residents of Artsakh gathered in Stepanakert's square, seeking answers to their questions from the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan.
