A Woman Damaged a Civil Contract Party Poster and Made an Obscene Remark

A 57-year-old woman intentionally damaged the "Civil Contract" party poster located at a bus stop near one of the buildings on Mikoyan Street in Yerevan on August 27. She also made an obscene remark on the poster. This was reported by the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

During the pre-trial investigation, the 57-year-old woman was arrested and presented to the prosecuting authority, where she provided a confession. She has since been released.

An inquiry is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the destruction of the poster belonging to one of the candidates for the Yerevan mayor's office.

A criminal case has been initiated in accordance with Article 264, Part 1 of the Republic of Armenia's Criminal Code (destruction or damage to property that has caused significant property damage). The party has been recognized as the victim. The investigation is ongoing.
