What Security Guarantees Ukraine Expects from the USA

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Kyiv expects to receive security guarantees from Washington modeled after Israel.

“With the USA, we will likely have a model similar to Israel, where there are arms, technology, training, and finances,” said the Ukrainian leader.

According to the President of Ukraine, this support model does not depend on who will lead the USA; its extension will depend on the decisions of the US Congress and the parliaments of European countries.

It is noteworthy that on August 26, the Ukrainian leader announced that more than 20 countries had joined the G7 declaration on providing guarantees to Ukraine. On the same day, Ukraine began negotiations with Canada regarding security guarantees.
