Statue of Charles Aznavour to Be Installed in Yerevan

The "Active Citizen" platform has launched a voting process for a new project. Until August 31, at 14:00, citizens can vote for their preferred design of the statue dedicated to national hero Charles Aznavour. This information was reported by the Yerevan municipality.

As part of the celebrations for the 100th anniversary of the renowned chansonnier, the statue will be installed in France Square in Yerevan in 2024.

A public competition was announced for the selection of the statue’s design, and 37 design sketches were submitted for consideration by a specially formed commission. The design that receives the most votes on the platform will be included in and reflected in the results of the commission's voting.
