Artsakh Government Ready to Purchase Wheat Harvest Regardless of Quantity
The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Artsakh has announced that it is prepared to purchase stored wheat from farmers, regardless of the quantity available. This announcement is aimed at those who hold reserves of wheat.
According to the ministry, the reserves of wheat stored for bread-making in the capital's mills are nearing depletion. Farmers are urged not to remain idle, to demonstrate unity and concern, and to realize their stored wheat supplies with the aim of providing bread for their fellow citizens in the capital.
Upon receiving a sales application, the government will organize payment and transportation processes for the wheat independently and in a short timeframe.
“We urge community leaders to gather and compile information about the wheat reserves in their communities and present it to the Ministry of Agriculture, so that the government can organize the transportation of wheat as quickly as possible. Esteemed community leaders, we ask you to demonstrate maximum activity, consistency, and responsibility in addressing this issue, with your contribution being crucial in somewhat alleviating the bread crisis,” the statement from the Ministry of Agriculture reads.
