Besides the Driver of the 'ZIL', 'Sinohydro Corporation' Should Also Be Held Accountable

Relatives of victims of a major accident on the Yerevan-Gyumri highway are awaiting an invitation from the investigating authorities. The issue is that the relatives of the deceased personally went to examine the specific section of the 90th kilometer of the Yerevan-Gyumri highway and noted that, besides the driver of the 'ZIL', 'Sinohydro Corporation' LLC, which is the contracting company responsible for the reconstruction and maintenance of the Lanjik-Gyumri road section, should also be held accountable.

This was reported by the 'Zhoghovurd' newspaper. According to the parents, that road is a 'meat grinder', and all responsible parties should not go unpunished. It is worth noting that 'Sinohydro Corporation' LLC stated that the 90th kilometer section of the interstate highway, where the accident occurred, is equipped with the necessary safety features, is marked, and road signs are installed. However, the parents insist that so-called road inspectors and government officials who are supposed to supervise road builders should be punished.

Recall that on August 14, around 00:20, vehicles of 'ZIL' and 'Volkswagen' brands collided at the 90th kilometer of the Yerevan-Gyumri highway, resulting in the deaths of 12 passengers, while the driver of the 'ZIL' was detained.
