Statue of Karen Demirchyan Installed at Sports and Concert Complex

The Deputy Mayor of Yerevan, Tigran Avinyan, has announced that a statue of Karen Demirchyan is being installed in front of the Sports and Concert Complex.

"The bronze statue of the national hero of Armenia, Karen Demirchyan, is being placed in front of the Sports and Concert Complex. The installation of this sculpture is just one important step in the program for reinterpreting and revitalizing the area. It will become complete with the establishment of an adjacent green park and improved surrounding space. The creator of this impactful statue is sculptor Sargsyan Babayan, who has depicted Demirchyan in a characteristic posture, moving from the pedestal toward the people," Tigran Avinyan informed.
