Limited Capacity at Upper Lars Checkpoint Until August 26

According to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Situations Department and the Crisis Management Center of the North Ossetia of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles. However, from August 17 to 26, the capacity at the Upper Lars checkpoint will operate in a limited mode due to the ongoing planned reconstruction phase of the checkpoint.

At the Upper Lars checkpoint, asphalt work will be carried out on 12 passenger vehicle lanes and then on 8 freight vehicle lanes moving from Russia to Georgia.
