New Regulations on the Prime Minister's Aircraft and Helicopter
Recently, a draft amendment to the law on “Ensuring the Activities, Services, and Social Guarantees of Public Officials” was presented to the parliament. This amendment aims to empower the Prime Minister to explicitly define, by his own decision, the legal framework for organizing, carrying out, and ensuring the safety of flights with the specialized aircraft and helicopter allocated for his service.
The existing law only stipulates that a specially equipped aircraft and helicopter are provided to the Prime Minister for service purposes; it lacks a legal basis for organizing, executing, and ensuring the safety of flights with these aircraft and helicopter.
Thus, the development of the draft is conditioned by the necessity to establish a norm that empowers the proper organization, execution, and security of flights with the specially equipped aircraft and helicopter allocated for the Prime Minister’s service. As a result, it will be possible to ensure these activities according to the procedure defined by the Prime Minister's decision.
