New Details from the Family of the Assaulted Girl

Today, a horrific video circulating online shows a family with five children: four girls and one boy. The girl who is being beaten and humiliated is the eldest daughter. This was reported to Sputnik Armenia by one of the middle daughter's teachers.

It turns out that the family moved to Yerevan from Gavarr this June after living there for a short period. The identity of the woman causing the mental and physical suffering to her daughter is 34-year-old Anna Arevshatyan. The teacher shared horrific details about the family with the media.

Reportedly, the father of the family, Tatoul Madatyan, was convicted about a year ago for sexually assaulting two of his daughters. “One of the girls was still in the third grade at the time, she felt unwell and had severe pains, so she was taken to a doctor, and it was discovered that she had been subjected to sexual violence,” the teacher recounted. According to her, when this information became known, the mother insisted that no violence had occurred and claimed the child had simply fallen on a stone.

An investigation was initiated, revealing that the father had sexually assaulted his own daughter. Following this, more horrifying details emerged, indicating that the eldest daughter, who was in the sixth grade, had also been sexually assaulted. This is the same girl who appears being abused in the disturbing video.

“Once news about the child's rape surfaced, the teachers began to discuss and analyze among themselves why the girl had changed so dramatically. Initially, she was performing quite well at school, but then she suddenly closed off, stopped interacting, and so on,” the teacher noted. She emphasized that, at that moment, the girl who was in her class had not been subjected to sexual violence but the created situation had affected her as well.

“She was a calm child, trying to avoid interaction with everyone, always with her phone during breaks, waiting for her third-grade sister to go home together after her lessons,” said the teacher. Incidentally, she noted that the girl tormenting the eldest sister in the horrific video is indeed their mother.

Psychologists have begun working with the children, and social workers have also been visiting the school to assist with lessons. The teacher stated that the situation had created a significantly heavy psychological state for the children, and everyone was aware of what had happened in the family. She sadly mentioned that the schoolmates did not communicate with the girls.

The mother had rarely attended school during this entire time, had not participated in parent meetings, and showed no interest in her children. “One time, while we were on a school excursion, the parents spoke about her as if she was completely defending her husband, saying that all fathers do that to their children,” the teacher recounted.

One day, Anna Arevshatyan called and said, “Prepare the children's things, I am taking them to Yerevan.” That was in June, and up until this morning, nothing had been heard about the family.
