Youngsters Argue Over Right of Way, Leading to Stabbing Incident

In the town of Hrazdan, a dispute arose between youngsters over a right of way, resulting in insults and physical altercations. During the confrontation, a 26-year-old man stabbed a 21-year-old peer, as reported by the Armenian Police.

On August 16, at 00:15, the National Police received a report from a hospital regarding a 21-year-old man receiving medical attention for a "stab wound to the right side of the chest and a laceration on the head." The young man informed the hospital that the injuries were a result of a fall. However, officers from the Hrazdan police division conducted an investigation and determined that the 21-year-old's injuries were not from a fall.

It was revealed that on August 15, around 23:00, a quarrel took place near a partially built structure in the Mikrohajrapyan neighborhood of Hrazdan between the injured individual and the 26-year-old. The young men exchanged insults and physical blows, during which the 26-year-old stabbed the 21-year-old.

Following explanatory measures, the 26-year-old turned himself into the Hrazdan police. He admitted to inflicting bodily harm and presented the knife used as the weapon in the crime. The 26-year-old and the relevant documents have been submitted to the Kotayk Regional Investigative Division.
