Earthquake Recorded in Armenia
On August 24, at 17:15 local time (13:15 GMT), an earthquake was recorded by the seismic protection territorial service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia. The epicenter, located 28 km northwest of the city of Alaverdi in the Lori Province, had geographical coordinates of 41.17°N latitude and 44.34°E longitude, with a focal depth of 10 km and a magnitude of 3.7.
The intensity of the underground tremor in the epicentral zone reached 5 points. The earthquake was felt in the Lori Province, particularly in the towns of Stepanavan and Alaverdi, as well as in the village of Dsegh, with an intensity ranging from 3 to 4 points. Additionally, it was felt in the Shirak, Tavush, and Gegharkunik provinces with an intensity of 2 to 3 points.
