A video has surfaced online showing the moment of a tragic explosion in Makhachkala.

Below is what is currently known about the explosion that occurred in Makhachkala:

• An explosion took place near the Globus shopping center on the Makhachkala-Astrakhan federal highway, followed by a strong fire.
• The Ministry of Emergency Situations has reported three injuries. The fire has spread over an area of 500 square meters, extending from the service building to a nearby gas station.
• There is a significant risk of a secondary explosion. According to available information, only 2 out of 8 fuel tanks have exploded, as reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
• “Police officers are struggling to keep people from attempting to enter the area,” the agency added. It has been noted that individuals are risking their lives to enter the service area and assist the injured.
• The head of Dagestan, Sergey Melikov, has reported five dead and 10 injured. Unconfirmed reports indicate there may be 10 fatalities and over 50 injured.
