Many Victims and Injured in Makhachkala Were Watching Service Station Fire: Details
Footage from the tragic explosion in Makhachkala continues to circulate on the internet. The SHOT Telegram channel reports that, according to a source in the emergency situations service, the high number of victims and injuries is due to the fact that during the explosion of two tankers at the gas station, the burning fuel, along with the force of the blast, covered people who were within a 50-meter radius. Those individuals, according to the channel, were watching the burning service station.
According to the latest reports from the channel, 10 people have died, including children. The same outlet also states that around 70 people have been injured. Official reports, however, indicate 5 dead and 10 injured. As stated by the country's Ministry of Internal Affairs, 2 out of 8 tankers belonging to the service station exploded.
