Russia and Iran to Collaborate in Counter-Terrorism Efforts, Says Russian Foreign Ministry
The Russian Foreign Ministry has confirmed its readiness to enhance cooperation with Iran in the field of counter-terrorism.
Last Sunday, a terrorist attack occurred in Shiraz, Fars Province, Iran. As a result of an armed assault on the Shah Cheragh shrine, one person was killed, and nine others were injured.
"We reaffirm our readiness to strengthen further cooperation in the counter-terrorism sector with our Iranian partners," the ministry stated in a media release posted on its website on Monday.
In the commentary, it was noted that "according to existing data, there are no citizens of the Russian Federation among the victims."
The Russian side strongly condemns the barbaric act of terrorism and expresses its deepest condolences to the families of those who faced this disaster. We hope that the perpetrators of this crime will be brought to justice," the message emphasizes.
