Complaints About Water Cuts: What Is the Reason? - Avinyan

I regularly receive complaints about water cuts. What is the reason for this, and has the number of emergency water cuts been above normal? Vice Mayor Tigran Avinyan inquired during a procedural consultation.

The officials responded that the reason for the water cuts is worn-out pipes.

After discussing issues related to “Veolia Water,” Avinyan moved on to waste collection. According to the vice mayor, the fleet of garbage trucks is sufficient to address the issues of comprehensive waste collection. “I expect that by next Monday, we should not have any more alerts related to waste collection,” he added.

Additionally, Tigran Avinyan stated that it is the municipality's responsibility to ensure competent management of construction works while implementing large-scale projects. “Some work has been done regarding the placement of warning signs; however, I believe it is not sufficient. I have received 1-2 notorious videos showing a vehicle falling into a pothole, which means that warning signs should have been placed much earlier,” he declared.
