Aircraft Transporting Pyunik Football Players Makes Emergency Landing in Oslo
The aircraft transporting the athletes of the Pyunik Football Club and the delegation heading to Norway made an emergency landing at Oslo Airport. This information was confirmed to Sputnik Armenia by the club's press service.
The cause of the emergency landing was a malfunction in the plane's engine.
It is noteworthy that the FA Pyunik crew was returning from Norway, where they had played a match in the third qualifying round of the Conference League against Bodo/Glimt.
"The crew has been evacuated. Currently, the athletes are at a hotel near Oslo Airport," the club's press service stated.
It is still unclear when they will have the opportunity to return to Armenia. For this reason, the match between Ararat-Armenia and Pyunik, which was scheduled to take place on August 14, has been postponed.
