Yerevan City Hall Comments on Gunfire Incident Involving Route 18 Bus

At the intersection of Shinarar and Abelyan streets in Yerevan, around 1:15 PM, the window of the route 18 bus was damaged under unclear circumstances. According to reports, gunfire was directed at the bus.

Auroranews spoke with Haik Kostanyan, the press secretary of the Yerevan Mayor, who stated that it is still unclear how the window of the vehicle was damaged. 'Yerevan Bus has contacted the police to investigate the circumstances of the incident. After the investigation, we will be able to provide clear information regarding whether gunfire occurred, if it was a projectile that struck, or if the incident happened under different circumstances. We neither confirm nor deny the gunfire hypothesis,' Kostanyan said.

Earlier, it was reported that the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Public Relations and Information Department informed Auroranews that at 1:15 PM today, a call was received by the police, with a citizen reporting that he believed gunfire had been directed at the bus he was driving on Abelyan Street.
