40-Day Project to Enhance Seismic Stability of Galata Bridge in Istanbul

The Galata Bridge in Istanbul will be closed for renovations. According to local media, the work will begin on August 13 and will last for 40 days. The project aims to improve the seismic stability of the structure, lighten the bridge's lifting system, and replace the bridge's waterproofing system.

It is worth noting that on February 6, a powerful earthquake measuring 7.8 struck southeastern Turkey, resulting in tens of thousands of casualties from the natural disaster in both Turkey and Syria.
