Russian Foreign Ministry Outlines Conditions for Resuming Grain Deal
The revival of the grain deal is only possible if the systemic conditions set by the Russian side are met, and only if the agreement aligns with the declared humanitarian objectives. This was stated by Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin in an interview with TASS.
“Our position remains the same, that is, first, to resolve systemic issues: the reconnection of Rosselkhozbank to SWIFT, restoration of spare parts supply, establishment of transport logistics and insurance, and the restoration of Russian companies' access to their foreign assets. After that, we can only discuss the possibility of reviving the Black Sea Initiative, and only, I emphasize, in accordance with the declared humanitarian purposes,” Galuzin said.
Galuzin also added that another condition for the resumption of the grain deal is the adherence to the agreements regarding the declared humanitarian objectives.
