The article quotes the Kremlin spokesperson saying, "Putin will be reelected next year, gathering more than 90 percent of the votes." According to kommersant.ru, Peskov has not yet commented on the article.
It is worth noting that earlier, when asked by the article's author whether Russia wants to seize more Ukrainian territories beyond the occupied four regions, Peskov replied, "No, we just want to control all the territory that we have now enshrined as ours in our Constitution."
Let us remind you that the presidential elections in Russia are scheduled for March 17, 2024. Current President Vladimir Putin has not announced any plans to participate in the elections.
