A Shipwreck Near the Shores of Italy Claims the Lives of Over 41 Migrants
As a result of a shipwreck near the shores of the Italian island of Lampedusa, 41 migrants have lost their lives.
Three men and one woman have been rescued and reported to the authorities that there were an additional 45 people on board, including three children.
They stated that the 7-meter-long vessel departed from the city of Sfax in Tunisia on Thursday but capsized just hours later due to a large wave. It is believed that only 15 individuals were wearing life jackets at the time of the incident.
